CIPFA - Performance in Public Services: Property

Construction and Property Advisory Service

The Service has been running for over a decade and continues to be an essential resource for Property staff in Local Government by becoming the first port of call for the majority of Authorities in England, Scotland and Wales seeking information on the latest developments in the world of Property.

The coming 12 months will continue to be challenging for in the following areas:-

  • The current economic situation and pressure on capital and revenue budgets
  • A general election that may significantly change priorities
  • National targets for the reduction of property assets in the public sector
  • The introduction of IFRS (International Finance Reporting Standards)
  • Responding to the Sustainability Agenda and the adoption of best practice approaches to Sustainable Construction
  • Increasing evolvement of the shared services agenda including the Total Place Initiative
  • An increasing focus on improving maintenance delivery rather than new build solutions
  • The impact of changes to European legislation and case law in procurement
  • The critical role of Option Appraisal in project planning, including analysis of risk and sensitivity 
  • Embracing Whole Life Considerations, both strategically and in construction projects

Cost of Membership

You choose  which Delegate place Subscription you wish to subscribe to; Subscription for England and Wales runs from 1st March until 28th February and in Scotland from 1st April until 31st March; you can utilise your FREE places at any of the CPAS Events within the subscription period - please note that delegate Places are per the subscription Period and NOT per CPAS Event.   

If you join midway through the subscription period Delegate Places and Cost are NOT pro rata you need to subscribe to the number Delegate Places that you think you will utilise fully before subscription expiry. 

  • 2 Delegate Place Subscription £500 plus VAT
  • 4 Delegate Place Subscription £800 plus VAT
  • 6 Delegate Place Subscription £1,100 plus VAT
  • 8 Delegate Place Subscription £1,400 plus VAT
  • 10 Delegate Place Subscription £1,700 plus VAT
  • 12 Delegate Place Subscription £2,000 plus VAT 
  • 14 Delegate Place Subscription £2,300 plus VAT 
  • 16 Delegate Place Subscription £2,600 plus VAT
